How close is the beach? Can I walk to it?
The Villas are a little over 3/4 of a mile up the hill from Kahaluu Beach Park. Although the drive is about 1 1/2 miles; it is not readily walkable.
How close is the grocery store?
The Keauhou Shopping Center is less than a mile down the hill towards the ocean. This center contains a KTA Grocery Store, Long's Drug Store, restaurants (upscale Japanese, pizza, Mexican, Thai, Sub-Way, Donut Shop and coffee shop). A retail shopping center and a Cineplex are also located in this shopping center.

How do we obtain the keys?
For most arrivals, we will have the house open for you. Hawaiian music playing and refreshments chilling. Keys will be on the kitchen counter.
Will anyone be coming to the house during our stay?
Regular weekly landscape and pool maintenance typically occurs on Thursday mornings and afternoons. Dana, our caretaker, will water the indoor plants once per week. She will call before she arrives.
How private are the pools and sunbathing?
Both villas are quite private due to the placement of landscaping, walls, umbrellas, and the layout of the land/buildings
Why should I rent a villa in Kona rather than at one of the hotels along the coast?
Condos and villas at the hotels are typically much more expensive. Also, with most hotels you are not close to grocery shopping, independent restaurants, or other services.
Why rent your villas rather than an ocean front house?
nothing like the sound of the ocean to relax. However, there are trade-offs.
The noise and traffic along Allii Drive is loud. Ocean front house are
much hotter than higher elevations in the summer months. Since the entire
beach and shoreline are public property, your view may be interrupted
at any time. Local surfers or others may simply walk through the property,
seeking the shortest route to the beach.
During the summer months, high surf can be quite loud and damaging.
